Street Focus is a collective vision for
safer town and city centres where our communities can thrive
Led by the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner, we work with a number of partners, including local authorities and businesses.
Our projects aim to tackle antisocial behaviour (ASB) and increase community safety. Find out more about our current projects below.
Street Focus: Camborne
Great work is already underway by local leaders and Devon & Cornwall Police in Camborne. Following the successes of the project in Torquay, Police and Crime Commissioner Alison Hernandez is now lending the support of her office to add momentum and help to make Camborne a better place to live, work and study.
Hotspot Policing
Devon and Cornwall’s Police and Crime Commissioner secured £1 million in Home Office funding to crack down on antisocial behaviour and serious violence.
This has enabled additional patrols by police officers and street marshals in areas identified as hotspots from crime data.
Street Focus: Torquay
Torquay residents have long been affected by antisocial behaviour and serious violence. Street Focus: Torquay is a multi-agency approach to bring real, long-term change to the area.
The project will be used as a blueprint for other areas across the peninsula.
